TAEKWONDO COMPETITION TRAINING & CARDIO-CONDITIONING

Competition Training provides the opportunity for students to participate in one of the fastest growing sports in the world, Olympic style Taekwondo. Each instructor is well trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of Olympic Style Taekwondo and sports specific cardio conditioning. This program develops the fitness, strength, speed, concentration, discipline, and strategy needed in the athlete. For ages 7 and above.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING (MMA) SUBMISSION WRESTLING / GRAPPLING /BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU/ UFC

In addition to Taekwondo programs, Competitive Edge also provides instruction in the cutting edge martial art of Submission Wrestling / Grappling / Catch-as-Catch Can / Scientific Wrestling / Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / UFC / MMA. Our Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) program uses ground fighting techniques, chokes, holds, Strikes, body position and leverage as its foundation. This martial arts style is ideal for anyone looking for a great workout and realistic self-defense. If you are a serious competitor, coach or martial artist, this class will provide you with a structured logical progression for your training. If you are an absolute novice it will get you started on the road to becoming a seasoned mat man. No matter what your level of experience, it is designed to take you from zero to 60 in the minimum amount of time possible. Our Mix Martial Arts program is geared towards teens and adults of all ability levels and children over eight years old.



BOXING / KICKBOXING

The Boxing and Kickboxing programs provides instruction in the basics of boxing and kickboxing that include rhythm, footwork, coordination, combinations, heavy bag work, and hitting focus mitts. These workouts provide a total body workout, increasing stamina, muscle tone, and burning more calories than most other workouts available. Programs are highly individualized and are for all ages and ability levels.

MUAY THAI

Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing, is the national sport of Thailand. It is a simple and aggressive striking style utilizing punches, kicks, knees and elbows. The competitive sport in its present form has evolved from many Southeast Asian combat styles, both armed and unarmed, over many hundreds of years. Muay Thai philosophy is simple and direct making it very easy to learn and easily adapted to every day self defense.
